«The Ogglies» is 3 Doubles and WunderWerk’s animated family film, based on the hit German children’s book series about a group of creatures with unusual eating habits who are looking for a new home.

Directed by Jens Møller, whose credits include the «Lego Star Wars» TV series, and Toby Genkel, director of the animated hit «Ooops! Noah is Gone,» Erhard Dietl’s book series, which includes 34 titles, has been translated into more than 13 different languages and has sold more than 5 million copies in Germany alone.

The story follows a family of smelly, garbage-eating, but well-intencioned little green creatures who find a new home in Smellvile’s city dump, only to face eviction when an unscrupulous contractor decides to build a welfare temple on the site. Smellvile is a beautiful and quiet village with an unfortunate stinky problem, the local landfill is spoiling the place. Something needs to be done.

La historia sigue a una familia de apestosas criaturitas verdes, devoradoras de basura pero bienintencionadas, que encuentran un nuevo hogar en el vertedero de la ciudad de Smellvile, sólo para enfrentarse al desalojo cuando un contratista sin escrúpulos decide construir en el lugar un templo del bienestar. Smellvile es un bonito y tranquilo pueblo con un desafortunado y apestoso problema: El vertedero local está echando a perder el lugar. Hay que hacer algo.
